The latest installment in the Forza Horizon series is inching closer to launch. Last week the game went gold week and the team at Playground Studios had more to reveal for Forza Horizon 5. This latest news gives us the preload details and size of the game. This is what they had to say:

Earlier this week, we told you that Forza Horizon 5 has gone gold. With the game now being pressed onto retail discs and prepared for digital release, the team has initiated preload on Xbox and Windows. That means starting today, you can download the game in its entirety and ensure you’re fully prepared to experience Mexico from launch day without delay.

Preload Information Breakdown

It’s available to install now on PC via Windows Store, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. For those waiting on preload information for the Steam release, Playground advise you to keep an eye on their social channels for future announcements. The file sizes are slightly larger than Forza Horizon 4, which on Series X has a base install of 80.5 GB. For this release all versions are surpassing 100 GB. Here is the full breakdown:

  • Xbox Series X|S: 103.4GB
  • Xbox One: 116 GB
  • Windows: 103 GB

For those wondering when the game will be playable, you won’t have to wait for long. Forza Horizon 5 will be launched on Game Pass on November 9th. Those who purchased either the Premium Edition or the Premium Add-Ons Bundle will be granted early access which will go live on November 5th.
