Deceit 2 Brings More Survival Horror

Deceipt 2

Recently, I brought some lesser-known games your way in the survival horror genre. We have the very obvious big names like Resident Evil 4, Alone in the Dark, Silent Hill 2, and Alan Wake 2 on the way. As well as, recently we had The Callisto Protocol and Dead Space Remake. So for horror fans, it is definitely a good time for the genre overall. Now there was some rather unexpected news for a sequel to Deceit. Currently the original is free on Steam and now we’re getting Deceit 2.

Looking at Steam the description for the original reads:

Test your instincts at trust and deception in an action-filled, multiplayer first-person shooter. You wake up in unknown surroundings to the sound of the Game Master’s unfamiliar voice, surrounded by five others. A third of your group have been infected with a virus, but who will escape?”

Official Description – Steam

The trailer for Deceipt 2 can be seen below:

We have Gematsu to thank for covering this story. As was them who posted the trailer above and the statement from the developer. This is what World Makers CEO James Thompson said.

Deceit 2 ambitiously expands on the gameplay of the original Deceit while overhauling and enhancing features according to feedback from our devoted community. PC players should definitely wishlist on Steam now, but we’re also introducing the twisted world of Deceit to console players for the first time when Deceit 2 releases on PlayStation and Xbox consoles this year.”

The game is a multiplayer survival horror game, where communication is key. Think of it as Among Us with a horror vibe. The game’s description on Steam says, “Deceit 2 is a 6-9 player social deduction horror game where two among you have been Infected. Whilst the Infected does the Game Master’s bidding, the Innocent must work together to escape the Ritual whilst deducing who is plotting against them. So who can you trust?”

As well as launching on PC, it will also launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
