Recently we heard about the console launch for the long awaited sequel to the cult classic Beneath a Steel Sky. The game originally launched way back in 1994. The new Beyond a Steel Sky was set to launch on PC first with a planned console debut on the 30th November.
However Microids who are the publisher of Beyond a Steel Sky had some unfornunate news. The publisher announced a slight change to the release date. The reason for this delay was put down to global supply chain issues. The relasesed statement was as follows
Due to worldwide logistical issues and constraints beyond our control. The game’s release date had to be postponed on some platforms in certain territories

The new console release dates are slightly varied depending on where you live, platform you want and if you’re getting it digitally or not.
The UK the release dates vary as well. On PlayStation 4 and 5 and Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One it launches on the 7th December. This is regardless on whether you plan to purchase it digitally or physically. Digital copies on Nintendo Switch has no delay however physical copies won’t see it launch until the 7th December.
For those in North America, every release is the 14th December. The exception is for the digital version on Nintendo Switch which launches on 7th December. For Australia and New Zealand, all physical versions will be available on 17th December. However, all digital versions will suffer no delay. The developer posted a breakdown on Twitter and this is what Microids said at the time of delay.
