About a month ago we had a few rumours circulating about Rocksteady’s return to their Arkham Universe. So after a Batman trilogy of Asylum, City and Knight they tackled a larger part of the world. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League saw recent gameplay at a State of Play before these rumours started. We also had a podcast involving Jeff Grubb who claimed he’d heard the game was delayed until next year. Since then we heard nothing from Rocksteady about this news.
All these rumours appeared after it was confirmed the game was an always online game, even if solo. Now we have some clarification on the Suicide Squad status as these rumours of a delay have now been addressed by Rocksteady and Warner Bros. The game was already delayed by Warner Bros from last year until May this year. Now we have another release date change which was confirmed by Warner Bros on Twitter.
When We Can Now Expect Suicide Squad
The statement has now confirmed that the rumours are true and the game has been delayed. Not only that, it ties in with the claims Jeff Grubb made last month. We will the finale for Kevin Conroy’s Batman and Harley Quinn and co arrive in the hands of gamers early next year. So now the new release date is 2nd February next year. Meaning it’s close to a ten-month delay. This is the official line over the game delay
We have made the tough but necessary decision to take the time needed to work on getting the game to be the best quality experience for players. Thank you to our amazing community for the continued support, patience and understanding. There is much more to share in the months ahead and we look forward to seeing you in Metropolis next year.
So what are your thoughts on this news? Were you looking forward to this? As always why not get in touch and share your thoughts. Game delays are never good news but it seems the last we saw of this game hasn’t given footage or news which has pleased fans. Hopefully, before too long we can see something which reassures fans.
