Rainbow Six Siege Year 8 Details Announced

It has been a considerable amount of time since we had a proper discussion regarding Rainbow Six Siege. About a year ago, we shared information about year 7 of the Ubisoft tactical shooter, and presently, we are gearing up for year 8. The game has come a long way from its post-launch days when it encountered difficulties and failed to retain players’ interest. I am personally a big fan of the game and have been regularly playing it since its launch, even participating in the alpha and beta testing stages. What I appreciate about the game is that each round and match is unique and unpredictable, and even minor changes such as altering your attacking approach or tweaking your operator selection can significantly impact the game. Defenders can also adjust their strategy if attackers become too predictable, adding another layer of complexity to the game.

The forthcoming season of Rainbow Six Siege is called Operation Commanding Force, and it will introduce fresh functionalities. As customary, a new operator will join the fray, and their name is Brava. The website has scant details available currently, but thanks to Eurogamer, we know that Brava’s unique tool is the Kludge Drone. This drone can incapacitate enemy electronics and also make them work against their users, implying that Kapkan’s traps can now backfire and help the foe. The Maestro turrets may also turn hostile and shoot at your allies.

They are a three-speed one health operator. Primary weapons are either the PARA-308 Assault Rifle or the CAMRS DMR. As for the secondary weapons, they are the USP40 handgun or the Super Shorty shotgun. They have claymores or a smoke grenades.

What Else Is Coming To Rainbow Six Siege Year 8

The implementation of the Mousetrap system coincides with the start of the new year. Due to the console game’s lack of support for mouse and keyboard, Ubisoft has taken measures to prevent players from gaining an unfair advantage. Mousetrap is designed to identify mouse and keyboard inputs and rather than outright banning them, it introduces latency to the inputs. The latency will increase as the match progresses unless a controller is used.

A new feature has been added to tackle abusive behavior in-game chat, which has witnessed significant improvement lately. This feature is called auto-mute, which ensures that players with abusive tendencies cannot be heard. Additionally, there has been a change in the reload animation, as guns are now considered fully reloaded only after the animation is complete. More details on these updates and others are available in the announcement trailer, which can be found below.
