For those who love horror, Bloober Team is a familiar name. Currently, they are focused on remaking a classic that Silent Hill 2 fans will recognize. But for those who may not know, Bloober Team also created The Medium, The Blair Witch Project, and Observer. They’re also responsible for Layers of Fear and its sequel, as well as the Observer System Redux remake which launched at the beginning of this console generation.
By perusing their official website, you will come across an upcoming release bearing a familiar name. The 2016 horror classic is not only making a comeback but is also receiving a significant facelift. According to the website, this release promises to offer the “definitive way to experience the critically acclaimed franchise” by featuring both Layers of Fear and Layers of Fear 2. In addition to all previous DLCs, the package includes a new one, entitled “The Final Note,” which offers a fresh perspective on the series’ storyline. Furthermore, a previously untold narrative called “The Writer” is also included, which serves to connect the entire series together.
What Else We Get In The Layers Of Fear
As we read further it’s evident this is not a remaster. Therefore Bloober Team has wanted to do something special for this. We are told that this release is “built on Unreal Engine 5”. This new release will also support Ray Tracing, HDR, and offer a 4K resolution. So according to Bloober Team this is for one purpose. “To make the stunning visuals, and your nightmarish experience, as immersive and realistic as possible”. We have a trailer for the release as seen below announcing the game arrives this June.
