Capcom’s PRAGMATA Gets A Release Date and Will Make Its Way To The Switch 2

At last week’s The Game Awards 2025, Capcom revealed PRAGMATA will release on April 24, 2026. In a new trailer exploring a lunar cityscape, the sci-fi action game also confirmed a Nintendo Switch™ 2 version will launch day-and-date alongside PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A demo of the highly anticipated title is available starting today, debuting first on Steam and coming to consoles at a later date.

You can watch the PRAGMATA pre-order trailer directly from Capcom below:

Pre-orders for PRAGMATA begin today on all platforms. As an exclusive bonus, players who pre-order will receive Hugh’s samurai-styled Neo Bushido outfit and Diana’s ninja-inspired Neo Kunoichi costume. Alongside the standard version (MSRP $59.99), a Deluxe Edition (MSRP $69.99) will be available, which includes the Shelter Variety Pack. This bundle offers an assortment of alternate cosmetic outfits for Hugh and Diana, a weapon skin, emotes for Diana, extra background music for the Shelter, and an in-game library with 75 pieces of digital artwork. It is nice to see Capcom releasing a game at the regular $59.99 price in 2026. PRAGMATA fans can also look forward to more information coming soon about a Diana amiibo™ figure seen below.

Starting today on Steam, players can jump into the world of PRAGMATA with the Sketchbook Demo. This free public demo provides the opportunity to experience the title’s immersive setting and thrilling gameplay at home for the first time. The PRAGMATA Sketchbook Demo also includes fun extra surprises to challenge players and encourage repeat playthroughs.

Pragmata Demo Experience

I gave the demo a try on my PC, and it was graphically very impressive. I had it maxed out and didn’t even use DLSS or frame generation to get a high frame rate and crisp visuals. The hair rendering on Diana was extremely impressive, and you can see for yourself in the screenshot I took below while playing.

The game is both puzzle and action focused, with Diana riding around on your back as you explore the lunar station. The game utilizes amazing ray tracing techniques on every surface, giving depth to every scene. Many people I have talked to who have played and tested the demo on Steam have come away with great impressions of the technology, and it runs extremely well on a variety of hardware, including lower-end video cards.

I really enjoyed the puzzle and action mechanics, as you hack into the enemies as Diana at the same time as controlling Hugh, who is shooting them. I found the controls to be a bit unwieldy with a mouse and keyboard and opted to use an Xbox controller not long into playing. You can instantly tell the game is designed more so with the use of a gamepad to make the dual protagonist controls work a lot more smoothly when in combat. I am sure you could get used to it, but it was clear to me that a gamepad is the way to go with PRAGMATA on PC.

We won’t know until the game releases if it can sustain the fun for the entire game, but the demo left me only wanting more, and impressions from many other players who I spoke to have come away happy. Along with the demo on PC, six songs from the PRAGMATA original soundtrack, including the main theme “Memories Are You,” are available to enjoy early starting today via popular music streaming services. The demo is only available on Steam right now but will be available on all platforms very soon.

Capcom’s newest IP, PRAGMATA, is a sci-fi action game with unique hacking gameplay mechanics. Set on the moon in the near future, the story follows an unlikely duo on a mission to escape a lunar station overrun with hostile robots. In this single-player game, players control both spacefarer Hugh and the enigmatic android Diana. Each character has their own distinct skills and abilities, and they must work together to hack, shoot, and overcome obstacles in search of a way back to Earth.
