It is already known the Fable reboot is in a somewhat playable state along with the rumours the next Dragon Age is close as well. These, however, are not the only games in a playable state and nearing their release windows. One game is an upcoming title from Remedy, and it’s not the sequel to the supernatural mind-bender Control. Instead, this article looks at their other massive title and upcoming sequel Alan Wake 2. This was announced just over a year ago at The Game Awards in 2021.
The story about this long-awaited sequel being playable from start to finish came from Remedy themselves. VGC have reported what was said from CEO Tero Virtala after Remedy published their latest financial reports. This is what was said.
Alan Wake 2 is in full production. The game will soon have all content in place, and it is playable from start to finish.
We will then move onto polishing the experience. Alan Wake is a unique brand that holds high value for the company today.
Alan Wake 2 And When It’s Coming
We know the game is coming this year, according to the official reveal that also followed the news of a remaster of the original Alan Wake. This gave the game its debut on Nintendo and PlayStation hardware. VGC also reports that the remaster didn’t generate royalties, as Virtala stated exactly this. There is a belief that the imminent arrival of the sequel will boost sales. It is the belief of Remedy that they “expect the sales to increase as the release of Alan Wake 2 becomes imminent.” This is because they believe “fans and new players want to experience the original story on new generation consoles.”
It seems the game is progressing well and should hopefully meet its 2023 target. It has been a long-awaited sequel as well.
