It’s a good period for horror fans these next few months. We are awaiting the upgrades of the Resident Evil trilogy for one in addition to summer releases for MADiSON and The Quarry. Rumors of a series of Silent Hill games are circulating and we are expecting news of The Callisto Protocol this week. This followed the news of The Dead Space Remake’s release date. Now let’s bring in The Chant
The Chant is published by Prime Matter and developed by Brass Token. Their official website has this to describe the game.
The Chant is a single-player, third person horror action-adventure game set on a remote spiritual island retreat. To survive you must craft, fight, and escape the psychedelic horrors set loose when a ritual goes wrong and awakens a dimension of cosmic terror. Coming to you in October 2022.
What It Will Launch On
When originally reported it was due to launch on all Xbox and PlayStation systems and PC. Now today the official Twitter account seems to suggest that last-gen versions have been dropped. This we’ve seen with Gotham Knights recently. This is confirmed by the teaser trailer which no longer lists the last-gen versions.
So will this be a game for you? As always we’d love to hear your thoughts on this. So please get in touch and share them. However, it’s shaping up well with horror fans. We are still to get a more definite date in October for Scorn. However the Silent Hill-inspired Wronged Us is coming, but that is now next year. We are also awaiting an update on the is real or not Abandoned by Blue Box.
