LV1 Gaming had the opportunity to check out Task Time, a chaotic party game centered around completing seemingly simple task with a few modifiers. Developed by ReadGraves and published by Wired Productions, Task Time is a physics focused, first-person, competitive party game where you have six rounds to earn enough points to be number one. With up to 4 player couch co-op and up to 8 players online you will have an addictive fun time ensuring you win or someone specific loses. Being able to get hands on with this game on the TwitchCon show floor was epic. We had enough people with us to get a solid couch co-op experience and even had a great interview with someone from Wired Productions.
The booth was vibrant and colorful matching the games world and character designs. There were four controllers, four comfortable inflatable chairs, four players, one screen, and one winner in the end (not me.)
Task Time Key Features:
- A Gameshow inspired competitive friendslop, where one player will reign supreme to become the ultimate Taskling across 6 rounds of unpredictable and chaotic fun.
- Unleash your inner mischief-maker to sabotage your fellow Tasklings. Fortunately, there are no (real-life) consequences, just good vibes and endless hilarious moments.
- Easy to pick up, impossible to put down, every round presents a new opportunity to come out on top. So, even the clumsiest Taskling can pull off a shocking victory.
- Over 500 unlockable cosmetics and emotes. The best part? NO MICROTRANSACTIONS!
- Endlessly replayable with over half a million randomly generated tasks to complete.
- Host lobbies with up to 8 players, where 4-player split screen and online multiplayer are playable simultaneously.
- Multiple vibrant maps to discover, filled with interactive objects and items… plus, there’s loads more to come!
- Dual-language support made with streamers in mind – go on… stream to your friends in China or Brazil!
- From an all-star INDIE development team, who have worked on hit games such as Gang Beasts, Fall Guys and more.
During our playthrough we experienced coin collecting, grow/shrink mushrooms, pinhole camera view, the floor is lava, and even slippery floors. The ability to grab items from other peoples hands or even push them into obstacles. The vagueness in which the task are issued out to you alongside the ability to accomplish them in various ways create a chaotically fun party game. At this time there is no official release date but if you Wishlist Task Time on Steam you can potentially get into the upcoming playtest.
