Yesterday, Icepick Lodge, announced Pathologic 3, what seems to be a direct follow up to the events of Pathologic 2. The bizarre first-person survival series set in a unique horror-like setting gets a new lease on life in a strikingly haunting third game that will allow players to go back in time to hopefully stop the plague from happening in the Town-On-Ghorkon River. But what all can you expect from the story this time around? As well as who you will be playing as in the game?

What is Pathologic? And why Should you be Excited for Pathologic 3?
Pathologic 3 will be putting players into the shoes of the Bachelor Daniil Dankovsky. A doctor who searches for the secret of immortality and stumbles upon a town that is on the brink of being ravaged by a plague. The story will take place over 12 days as you search between the towns past, present and future in an attempt to stop the plague from ever happening.
The Pathologic games are very rare in terms of what experience is on offer. It is a first-person survival series where you have to do the usual genre health babysitting. From health, hunger, thirst and sanity, but there is a unique twist that makes the games very engaging. You have to not only keep yourself alive, but everyone else you can in the town. This significant deviation allows you to grow closer to others, but the time you spend helping one causes another to suffer. A cycle that repeats day by day as the situation becomes worse.
You cannot save everyone, but through trial and error, harvesting organs, trading trash and investigating the multi-cultural town, you can test your skills and knowledge to become a savior, but at the cost of others who also deserved to survive if you only had more time.
If you would like to sink your teeth into the series, it is highly recommended to play only the second Pathologic. As it is a remake of the original with meta commentary on the narrative of the original. The game is available on Steam, Xbox and PlayStation for $34.99.
Pathologic 3 will be arriving around the middle of next year on Steam.
