If you are a fan of recent From Software titles and want to try something new then Neowiz has an exciting title for you. The game is called Lies of P and is a souls-like game set in the world of Pinocchio. Store listings say it “takes the story of Pinocchio, turns it on its head, and sets it against the darkly elegant backdrop of the Belle Epoque era”. The game features are below.
- DARKLY ELEGANT AND CRUEL WORLD – Unearth the secrets of the city of Krat – a place soaked in the style of the Belle Epoque era which once thrived due to its puppet industry and now sees its streets covered in blood.
- BATTLE WITH TWISTED INSTRUMENTS – Develop a unique combat style to counter vicious enemies and terrain by weaving together dynamic weapon combinations, utilizing the Legion Arms, and activating new abilities.
- WHAT’S IN A LIE? – There will be times when you will be confronted with choices where you can comfort others in sorrow or despair by lying…or you can choose to tell the truth. Carve your own path.
- A CLASSIC REIMAGINED – Experience the beloved fairy tale of Pinocchio reinterpreted as a dark, grim narrative that allows players to discover the secrets and symbols hidden within the world of Lies of P.
What We Know About The Lies Of P Release
So we know it’s coming to PC and console this year. The console platforms are PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. However, it will also launch on the Game Pass service. As for the release date, it’s launching on 19th of September. This is slightly later than the previous August release window the game was given. If the game is one you’re planning to buy, it has a standard and deluxe edition available for pre-order.
Not only that we have a demo available now so you can try the game out for yourself. Though if you’re interested I have some footage captured from the PlayStation 5 version.
Needless to say, the demo is a brutal taste of what to expect this September. It is not the most forgiving of experiences. Though fans of the Dark Souls/Bloodborne games will feel at home. Visually it looks good and feels smooth to play.
