Volleyball and Shooting blend in Hyper Gunsport, an arcade action game with a cyberpunk setting that combines the two sports. Players form teams of two in order to compete against one another in this game. Each team has a goalkeeper and a striker, and they try to score goals of varying difficulties. And of course they do this by literally shooting the ball into the net. Because the point value increases with how long the ball is kept in play. This pushes the game to take on an increasingly tense and high-stakes feel as it progresses.
In Hyper Gunsport, each of the game’s seven teams has its own individual story mode. Each is complete with cutscenes and special weapons that can be unlocked in stages throughout the competition. Players are required to think quickly on their feet and adapt their strategy. With the goal to counteract the effects of these weapons, which can range from shots that detonate to tricky bounces. The arenas in the game each have their own distinct characteristics, such as moving nets and unstable footing, which add an additional dimension of difficulty to the competition.
