Dark Deity 2, the newest entry in the fan-favorite tactical RPG series developed by Sword & Axe LLC and published by independent platform indie.io, is now available on Steam and fully Steam Deck Verified

The sequel expands on everything fans loved about the original while introducing deeper customization, refined tactical combat, and a brand-new cast of heroes.

Customization: From cosmic mages and crocodile-summoning wardens to noble knights and blood-soaked cultists, Dark Deity 2 offers a wildly diverse class lineup. There are 20 legendary heroes and 45 branching classes and players can also experiment with powerful combinations of passives, gear, and abilities. This system is designed to reward creativity and adds a lot of replayability.
Combat: The ability system from the first Dark Deity has been reworked. Building a team is no longer just assigning roles (healers, fighters, rangers, etc) — every unit can be tailored to fill a unique role. Discovering synergy, managing toolkits, and enhancement tools like runes and rings offers a wide range of builds and playstyles.
Campaign Customization Suite: Inspired by community-made randomizers, players have extensive control over how their story unfolds. You can adjust details like recruitment order, XP, stats, and gold.
Voice-acting: Dark Deity 2 features 30 chapters of fully voiced story content and a cast led by Allegra Clark (Apex Legends, Jujutsu Kaisen)

The Story

Dark Deity 2 is a fully standalone adventure so no prior knowledge of the first Dark Deity is required

At the heart of the story are Gwyn and Riordian, leaders of the newly formed Eternal Delegation and descendants of Irving. Irving and the Eternal Order rebuilt Verroa, but a new threat looms on the horizon as the Holy Asverellian Empire marches to war! Gwyn and Riordian will have to navigate the politics of Verroa and form alliances to turn the tide of the upcoming war. Every decision, both on and off the battlefield, shapes the course of the story and the fate of their homeland.
