Dying Light 2 – Is It (Un)Dead?

Dying Light 2

Remember the parkour-based zombie series Dying Light from Techland? Of course, you do. Its sequel came out of the oven in 2022, 7 years after the first game. Wanna know how we felt about it back in the day? Feel free to read our review here. Dying Light 2 has seen several updates and quality of life changes since its launch. Here’s how Techland sees the game’s evolution:

Since its debut more than two years ago, Dying Light 2: Stay Human has significantly evolved driven by community feedback. With close to 20 major updates improving every aspect of the game, there’s never been a better time to join the fight for survival in Villedor.

What’s next for all of us zombie-slaying enthusiasts? First things first, the next planned DLC for Dying Light 2 has evolved into a standalone project called The Beast. You’ll get access to it for free if you have purchased the Ultimate Edition, as explained in the Frequently Asked Questions on the game’s website.

But that’s not all. We have some cool news for our PlayStation friends. The game will be coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers starting 19 November. This was confirmed by Adam Michel, Director of Game Services – Content at Sony. Both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners subscribing to the service can access the game later this month. This is what Alan mentioned in the post:

In Dying Light 2, survival meets action adventure as you attempt to endure a hostile, post-apocalyptic world. Rival factions across The City aren’t the only enemy – a virus has turned a vast majority of the human population into monsters. Take on the role of Aiden Caldwell, a wanderer with the power to change the fate of The City, but your exceptional abilities come at a price. Haunted by memories you cannot decipher, you set out to learn the truth – and find yourself in a combat zone. Hone your skills to defeat your enemies and make allies. Unravel the dark secrets behind those that wield power, choose sides and decide your destiny. But wherever your actions take you, there’s one thing you must do – stay human.

Thought that’s all? Then think again my friends. You’ll get a nice bonus if you get the game on PlayStation using the two subscription services we mentioned above.
