On March 12th, the newest Gacha game from Hoyoverse, Zenless Zone Zero is slated to release its version 1.6 update. This update is going to be similar to past versions, where they will offer new characters to pull, new bosses and of course, a riveting new story. What makes 1.6, or “Among the Forgotten Ruins” special are the characters taking center stage. From 1.0 to 1.4, it was slow build of the game’s roster and narrative. Adding everyone from the Sons of Calydon biker gang to the special agents of H.A.N.D. All of these new characters and stories all built up to a thrilling cinematic finale. Thus, allowing the characters to breathe and flesh out the world a little more with 1.5, and soon 1.6. Here is everything you need to know before it launches!
Exploring Silver Squad in Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.6
In version 1.6 for Zenless Zone Zero, it is going to feature a story involving Obol Squad members. Such as Soldier 11, and a new sniper character named Trigger. While this follows the trend of more characters, like Astra or Evelyn from 1.5 before it. The biggest surprise is a new look and gameplay style for Anby, from the Cunning Hares. She will be sporting dual blades in an all-new S rank version for her character you will have to earn separately. The story of this update follows her as the leader, and squading up with Obol Squad against new mysterious characters that are tied to Victoria Housekeeping (including Lycaon).
In a run-down on some expansions for Hollow Zero, they revealed a lot of exciting gameplay additions. There will be ability-altering gear for Astra, Evelyn, Jane, and Corin. Allowing Astra to constantly throw ether bolts, or Corin to ride her chainsaw. There will be another difficulty option and new experiences for the overall game mode. They also showed a puppeteer-like boss fight with moving walls to maneuver around while you fight it. There will also be new Agent stage fights to participate in, alongside a new isometric gameplay mode.
In version 1.6 in Zenless Zone Zero, you will also be able to earn Pulchra, the cat lady that flew too close to the sun (if you want to call Burnice the sun, of course). Pulchra will be in the Gacha banners for S Rank Anby, and Trigger. A more thorough breakdown of the update can be found on their YouTube channel here. This update will be free, and launch across PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices on March 12th.
