It’s hard to believe Nintendo introduced the world to the characters Link and Zelda nearly 4 decades ago and the franchise is still going strong. The Legend of Zelda s 35 years old this year with a detailed history and has spanned many games with more to come. So Nintendo decided to celebrate this anniversary with a special edition Game & Watch system announced at the E3 Direct showcase. This is very similar to the Super Mario Edition from November last year.
When is coming out and how much?
It comes out nearly to the day of the anniversary of the launch of last year’s edition. Launching at $49. 99 on 12th November. This is a few months of the anniversary. As we know the world was first instructed to Zelda and the adventures of Link way back in February 1986. It was a launch title for the peripheral Family Computer Disk System in Japan. The cartridge release was a year later so for many it celebrates 35 yrs in 2022. This is also the expected date for the next brand new release in the Breath of the Wild sequel.
What’s on this new Legend of Zelda system?
Included isn’t just one but 3 games. But what are they including? As we know it’s the original game and its sequel
The Legend of Zelda, Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link. It also includes the original Game Boy version of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening that launched in 1993. This is turn was remade for the Switch back in September 2019. But wait, there’s more to come from this system. We also get a special-themed version of the Game & Watch classic game Vermin. This version as we see from the trailer stars Link as the playable character in-game.
