Dragon’s Dogma 2 Finally Announced with March 2024 Release Date and New Details Revealed 2023 Game of the Year – A Personal Choice Alan Wake 2 – A First Look At A Writer’s Return The Awakened King DLC, Short But Semi-Sweet Spirittea Sees Success Thanks In Part To Xbox Game Pass
The Game Awards have been a night full of crazy and exciting game announcements. Some were rumored for months or years, and some were community-driven wishes. And there has not been a greater wish than the communities wish for the rest of the Mainline Yakuza franchise to round out Kiryu’s storyline. And during an Xbox advertisement showing off Gamepass, they had a surprise announcement. Sega snuck in that the Yakuza Remastered Collection and Yakuza 6: Song of Life will be coming to Xbox and PC in 2021. With this, the entire Yakuza series is now on Xbox. Being known as Mister Yakuza and a massive fan and voice for the series on the Xbox platform, I was truly floored by the announcement. Just as my excitement when Xbox first announced Zero, Kiwami, and Kiwami 2 during XO 2019 this is a great show of support from Sega and RGG Studios. On Sega’s Official Twitter you can find the post below, but they confirmed that the remastered collection will be coming on January 28th, 2021, and Yakuza 6: Song of Life on March 25th, 2021. With this, the entire mainline series will now be on the Xbox platform. The continued support that Xbox has shown RGG Studio and the support for the series from the community has been wonderful from reports from the team and Sega themselves. With this next show, we can only hope this pushes to get any future titles and more of RGG Studios’ other titles such as the Judgement spinoff or even the Fist of the North Star game. Are you guys excited to have the whole Series on Xbox and PC now? Will you dive in now that the whole series is in Xbox GamePass, leave your thoughts down below.
