Alchemy Stars 1.5 Year Anniversary A Little to the Left: A Cozy Organizer’s Dream Primitive – A Stone Age Survival Shooter Starship Troopers Extermination Is A Bug Filled FPS Warhaven Global Beta Test Results

Not long ago a few Sony IPs were confirmed to be getting adapted for film and TV with titles such as God of War and believe it or not Gran Turismo. In addition to the debut of HBO’s The Last of US, with the air date set for January 15th. Now it seems Xbox adaptations are even more of a thing. After all, we’ve just had Halo and just recently big news from Netflix.

First up we had big news today on Twitter so let’s look at what’s coming

So, we can see Gears of War is the first of the future Xbox adaptations. That is a film and a TV series to start with. Also, if you have been following our recent articles, Fallout on Prime Video will be familiar. Officially we have seen little on this release, but it does seem Amazon is very invested in the franchise.

So What Other Xbox Adaptations Are Coming

Jez Corden shared on Twitter his article for Windows Central, so let’s look at the games he brought to our attention. He shared some of the leaked images appearing across Twitter from the Fallout series.

Grounded

This is a survival game that takes place in the backyard, think Honey I Shrunk The Kids. Now we have news Brent Friedman is adapting this for the screen. They are responsible for writing the Star Wars series Clone Wars. He is also doing the adaptation for Earthworm Jim. Joining him is Halo 4 writer Brien Goodrich. This one personally interests me as Fallout does.

Minecraft

Yes Minecraft is also set for a film and the Minecraft Wiki page tells us it is a live-action film. We had a director, producer and screenwriters and a vague plot, and even Jason Momoa on board. Minecraft creator Notch leaked information back in 2014 about the pending Warner Bros collaboration It’s had several release dates since 2019 and as yet no indication on the status of the project.

There are many other IPs in the article from Windows Central mentioned as well. One interesting one was the much-loved Ninja Theory title Hellblade. Could Senua’s story translate well to a live-action? The potential is indeed there. A couple of franchises not mentioned were the world of Elder Scrolls or even focusing on Skyrim. Another franchise that is returning is Fable. Would this be a possible title to be adapted? Gran Turismo is getting adapted also, would Forza follow suit?

As always, we’d love to hear from you. Grounded and Fallout are the two I am most looking forward to along with the HBO take on The Last of Us. Though not every translation of a game works. Sonic was a success; Doom didn’t really work for me and the live-action Resident Evil films were also I found a let-down. We have a new Mario movie on the way, and I expect it to fare better than the live-action film.
