We’ve just announced that Forza Horizon 5 is heading to PlayStation. But rumor has it more titles will follow in its tracks. Here’s a quick recap for you. Titles like Gears of War, Halo, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and Hellblade 2 should make their way to PlayStation. You can already pre-order Doom: The Dark Ages on your PS5. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was announced for the platform, too. And Samuel Tolbert from Windows Central talks about two more titles that will soon follow.
We won’t take on the role of Master Chief. We won’t experience Senua’s madness. And neither will we fly around the globe in the aircraft of our choice. The next game coming to PlayStation 5 is Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition. According to the game’s website, the PlayStation 5 port will arrive this Spring. Incidentally, this is also when Forza Horizon 5 was set to debut on Sony’s hardware. We could say that this is a return to grace for the game. I say this because it was originally published on PS2 by Konami.
What Other Xbox Games Will Arrive On PlayStation?
Next in line is Age of Mythology: Retold. It’s another remake heading towards Sony gamers. According to the same Windows Central article, both ports are handled by another Xbox studio: World’s Edge. These folks are known for working alongside other developers to remake “older games while also developing new titles in the storied franchise”. World’s Edge was responsible for the Definitive Editions of the first three Age of Empires games and the recent fourth entry. They were also involved with Age of Mythology.
The release date for PlayStation is March 4th for the Standard Edition. This one is priced at $29.99/£22.49. The Premium Edition is priced at $49.99/$37.99 and is set to release on February 27th. You can pre-order either of them now. And here are the bonuses you get for the Premium Edition:
