I covered WILL: Follow the Light when it was still in its early stages last year, so it’s awesome to see it get a proper release this month. If you’re looking to check out a solid story-driven, first-person adventure puzzle game, you can go grab this right now on Steam, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Like a Heavier Finding Nemo
“At its core, WILL: Follow The Light is about the human instinct to seek meaning, even in darkness,” said Roman Novikov, Founder and Game Director at TomorrowHead Studio. “Today, as the game launches, we’re excited for players to finally step into that journey for themselves, where every step forward feels intentional, and every light carries emotional weight.”
The title is one of those double entendres because you play as a lighthouse keeper named Will. A disaster has hit his hometown, so he’s got to make it home through sheer willpower. The journey home also begins to answer many questions about what led to his disconnection from his family. As I mentioned in my initial coverage, it was interesting that Steam said that if I liked SOMA (one of my all-time favorite horror games), I would love this one.
