It seems that Abandoned, the PS5 Exclusive that has gained massive notoriety, can’t stay out of the spotlight for long. As they are once again in the headline though this time for nothing as controversial. But it would appear that Abandoned gets another delay, yet again, without even having a date or release window.
Abandoned first made headlines after its reveal that it was getting an Exclusive real-time trailer app. Along with the numerous rumors and conspiracies that it is actually a secret hidden Hideo Kojima project; relating either Metal gear solid or a new Silent Hill game. But most notably is the fact it’s been known for delaying its “Realtime experience trailer app,” several times. On a few occasions hours before it was meant to go live.
When is it Coming?
But now it seems that an update to the FAQ on the BlueBox Game Studios website has given a glimpse of when the game will come out. The FAQ asks “What is the release date for Abandoned?” With the developer responding with its set to release in 2022, with a playable prologue set to launch soon. Now, it’s unfair to say that Abandoned was delayed, seeing as it never had a clear launch date at all. But more so is the game has no clear trailer or information on the title.
Add into the fact that the team has had multiple delays alone for their trailer app, and it is hard to trust this information. While there could potentially be a prologue that launches this year, it’s highly unlikely. It is more reasonable to assume the game will launch sometime in 2023 due to the lack of even a trailer for the game.
Either way, the internet and gaming industry is watching with cautious eyes. For now, the fact that Abandoned gets another delay is par for its course.
