UGREEN has been making some interesting moves with its MagFlow lineup lately. I recently spent time with the company’s MagFlow Pro 10000mAh Qi2 25W Power Bank, where its liquid-cooling technology was the feature that immediately grabbed my attention. This time, UGREEN sent over something considerably smaller and simpler, but I may have found its size even more useful in my everyday routine.

The UGREEN MagFlow Qi2 25W 2-in-1 Foldable Wireless Charger isn’t trying to reinvent wireless charging. Instead, UGREEN has taken something many of us already use at our desks or next to our beds and made it incredibly easy to take anywhere.

After using it between my desk at work and my setup at home, that’s easily become my favorite thing about it.

A Small Charger That Gets Even Smaller

What stands out about the MagFlow 2-in-1 Foldable Wireless Charger is just how small it becomes when you close it. Folded down, it measures roughly 60.2 x 72.6 x 26.7 mm and weighs only around 3.7 ounces. Those numbers sound good on a specification sheet, but actually carrying it around gives you a much better idea of what UGREEN accomplished here.

I’ve been using the charger at my desk at work, and when it is time to head home, I simply fold it closed and put it in my pocket. That’s it. There is something genuinely cool about being able to take what was just a two-device charging station sitting on my desk, fold it into a tiny package, put it in my pocket, and then set it back up at my desk at home.

UGREEN markets the MagFlow as a travel-friendly charger, and this is one of those situations where the marketing actually lines up with how I’ve been using the product. It doesn’t feel like a smaller desktop charger that technically can travel. Portability feels like a fundamental part of its design. The outer shell also gives it some protection, while the exterior uses a softer silicone coating for additional grip.

Two Chargers Without Taking Up the Space of Two Chargers

Opening the MagFlow reveals why the folding mechanism matters beyond simply making it easier to carry. The upper portion becomes the magnetic Qi2 phone charger and stand, while the bottom contains a second wireless charging surface designed for compatible wireless earbuds.

That means you can charge your phone and earbuds at the same time without needing two separate charging pads or multiple cables running across your desk. UGREEN rates the primary magnetic charging surface for up to 25W Qi2 wireless charging with compatible devices, while the secondary pad can provide up to 5W for earbuds when both are being used.

It’s a straightforward concept, but the execution is what makes it useful. When opened, it functions like a normal charging station. When you’re done, the entire thing folds over itself. That versatility is what makes the MagFlow more interesting to me than another wireless charging pad that stays permanently attached to one desk.

Qi2 25W Charging

The other major feature here is Qi2 support. The MagFlow supports up to 25W wireless charging on compatible newer devices. UGREEN lists the iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 families among the devices capable of taking advantage of its higher charging speeds, while iPhone 12 through iPhone 15 devices can charge at up to 15W. UGREEN notes that iPhone 16 users should be running iOS 26 or later for optimal performance.

UGREEN claims an iPhone 17 Pro Max can reach 50 percent battery in approximately 30 minutes under its testing conditions. As always, actual wireless charging speeds will depend on the phone, software, temperature, power adapter, and other conditions.

That’s an important distinction because seeing “25W” on the box doesn’t mean every phone attached to the MagFlow will automatically charge at 25W. Qi2 also brings another advantage that matters just as much in everyday use: magnetic alignment.

Instead of placing your phone on a charging pad and hoping you’ve lined up the charging coils correctly, the magnets position a compatible device directly over the charging surface.

UGREEN uses 16 N48H magnets in the MagFlow. In addition to aligning the charging coils, they keep the phone secured to the stand while it charges. A MagSafe-compatible or otherwise properly magnetic case is recommended, as thick or non-magnetic cases can reduce the strength of the connection.

It Is Also a Useful Phone Stand

UGREEN could have stopped at making the charger foldable, but the hinge serves another purpose. Once opened, the upper charging surface becomes a phone stand. Your phone can remain attached while you’re working, watching a video, checking notifications, or simply keeping it visible on your desk.

This is one of those small additions that makes the MagFlow feel more useful throughout the day. Your phone isn’t simply lying flat on a charging pad. It can remain visible and accessible while continuing to charge.

The magnetic design also makes switching between portrait and landscape orientations simple. Then, when you no longer need the stand, fold everything back together and the charging station returns to that tiny footprint.

One Cable, Two Devices

Cable management isn’t the most exciting subject, but fewer cables on a desk is rarely a bad thing. The MagFlow uses a USB-C connection and includes a cable in the box. With the phone and earbud charging surfaces sharing the same power source, one USB-C connection can handle both devices.

UGREEN recommends a USB-C charger rated at 45W or higher to get optimal performance from the MagFlow. If you already have a capable USB-C power adapter, this probably isn’t a big issue. If you don’t, however, that’s an additional purchase you’ll need to consider.

For a product built around portability, I would have liked to see the required power adapter included so buyers had everything necessary to get the best performance straight out of the box.

Compatibility Goes Beyond One Phone

Although MagSafe-compatible iPhones are an obvious audience for this charger, Qi2 is becoming increasingly relevant outside Apple’s ecosystem as well.

The MagFlow works with compatible MagSafe iPhones, Qi2-supported smartphones, and supported wireless earbuds. Qi2’s magnetic alignment technology is also expanding to Android devices, giving chargers like this considerably more value outside the traditional Apple ecosystem.

On the iPhone side, UGREEN officially lists models from the iPhone 12 family through the iPhone 17 family, excluding the iPhone 16e. The company also lists several generations of AirPods and AirPods Pro as compatible with the secondary charging surface.

As always with wireless charging, compatibility and maximum charging speed aren’t the same thing. The exact charging rate will depend on the device being used.

Safety and Heat Management

Wireless charging generates heat, especially as charging speeds increase, so UGREEN has also built several protections into the MagFlow.

The charger includes over-voltage, over-current, overheating, and foreign-object detection protections. UGREEN also uses what it calls a cool-touch glass charging surface and its ThermalGuard technology to help manage temperature during charging. That’s especially relevant as Qi2 wireless charging moves beyond the older 15W range and into 25W territory.

The Price Makes This More Interesting

The UGREEN MagFlow Qi2 25W 2-in-1 Foldable Wireless Charger normally carries a $59.99 price, but at the time of this review, UGREEN has it listed for $42.99.

At the regular price, you’re paying a premium over a basic wireless charging pad, but you’re also getting something much more versatile. This is a Qi2 25W charger, phone stand, and secondary earbud charger packed into a device small enough for me to carry in my pocket.

At the current $42.99 sale price, that combination becomes much easier to appreciate. The missing wall adapter is still something buyers should factor into the total cost, particularly if they don’t already own a sufficiently powerful USB-C charger.

Pros

  • Extremely compact when folded
  • Easily fits into a pocket or bag
  • Up to 25W Qi2 wireless charging on compatible devices
  • Charges a phone and wireless earbuds simultaneously
  • Strong magnetic alignment
  • Doubles as an adjustable phone stand
  • USB-C powered
  • Great for moving between home, work and travel
  • Clean design with a very small footprint

Cons

  • Wall adapter isn’t included
  • 45W or higher USB-C adapter recommended for optimal performance
  • Not every compatible phone can take advantage of the full 25W charging speed
  • Two-device design means there’s no dedicated smartwatch charging surface

Final Thoughts

The UGREEN MagFlow Qi2 25W 2-in-1 Foldable Wireless Charger succeeds because it solves a very simple problem without overcomplicating the solution.

I can have it sitting on my desk at work charging my devices, fold it closed when I’m ready to leave, put it in my pocket, and have the same charging setup waiting on my desk at home a short time later. That has been my favorite part of using it.

There are more elaborate charging stations available, including options that support three devices at once or add active cooling and other features. But those products aren’t necessarily trying to accomplish what this MagFlow does. This one is about making a useful charging station as portable as possible.

The 25W Qi2 support gives it the charging technology I would expect from a modern premium wireless charger, while the second charging surface and built-in stand add versatility without making the device significantly larger.

I do wish UGREEN included the wall adapter, especially since a 45W or higher charger is recommended to get the best performance. But if you already have a capable USB-C adapter, that’s much easier to overlook.

What ultimately sells me on the MagFlow isn’t a specification on the box. It’s being able to fold my entire charging station into something small enough to slide into my pocket.
