We wrote you a story about issues within Ubisoft. It seems to be a troubled period for the company right now, as their recent financial results were deemed disappointing. They cited the fact that they are “facing major challenges.” They felt the industry was shifting how it approaches titles. At the same time, Skull and Bones was yet again delayed. This is the sixth delay for the game, and it seems that it’s not the only game affected. Ubisoft’s troubles seem to continue even with promise of new gameplay soon for Skull and Bones

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was first shown in 2021, but nothing has been seen since. The developer behind this is Massive, they also developed The Division and have a Star Wars project on the way. This is yet another game hit with a delay with no release date. That meant it was probably less of a surprise than Skull and Bones, which had been playtested and had a release date and preorder links. That’s not the end of Ubisoft’s troubles recently, as we shall soon see.

Ubisoft’s Troubles. What Else Went Wrong

We do know that unannounced games were canceled. Now, according to IGN, it seems we have the names of two of these. One is Splinter Cell VR, which was announced alongside a VR entry into the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Since then, it seems to have just vanished from the radar. Ghost Recon: Frontline, another Tom Clancy game, has been canceled. This was a Battle Royale entry that was set to be free to play. The closed test was delayed indefinitely and it seems that’s it for the game for now. It also didn’t appear to be a Ghost Recon game that fans desired. As always, we love to have your input on the news. What do you think about Ubisoft? Are you a fan of their games? So why not get in touch and share what you think?
