When E3 was confirmed to return a few companies were keen to commit to the revamped event. It was in new hands so it was pivotal to get the event off the ground. Ubisoft had recently provided major news via their Ubisoft Forward, so the announcement that they would be attending E3 was a pleasant surprise. This came shortly after Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft announced that they would not be participating in the showcase. However, Ubisoft soon decided to withdraw from E3. Soon after, we learned that the event that had previously dominated summer gaming news had been canceled. After it was last seen prior to the Covid pandemic in 2020, we may never see E3 again.
So after withdrawing from E3 2023, it was expected the company would follow on and continue with their Ubisoft Forward. We’ve had one major announcement already, Assassin’s Creed Mirage got a release date at the recent PlayStation event. We also know of them rivaling Forza Horizon with The Crew Motorfest. So as expected Ubisoft has confirmed a new event is coming and we have a trailer below for you.
What To Expect At The Upcoming Ubisoft Forward
First of all, we don’t have long to wait. The event takes place in just over a week at the time of writing on 12th June. This is a day after the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase. The event starts at 10 AM PDT / 7 PM CEST / 6 PM GMT so make a note in your calenders. We are told to expect live reveals from Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Now back in April, we covered the news of a leak that this could soon be up for pre-order soon. So could we see a release date for this title? Other live reveals include Assassin’s Creed Mirage and The Crew Motorfest, Interestingly the trailer ends with a question saying “Wait, what’s that game?” Could we see a new game or IP yet to be revealed during the Ubisoft Forward?
