Ubisoft+ if you’re not familiar with the service is a subscription-based service. At present, it’s on PlayStation Plus on the higher tiers as a form of a classic. One reason is the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 are unable to play titles from earlier generations unless streamed. On Xbox, there is more flexibility with the older titles via backward compatibility. The service by Ubisoft states fans can acess to over 100 games on PC and the latest games when they get released.
For the premium editions there is small print stating, “Where premium or special editions of the game are indicated (for example Ultimate/Gold/Deluxe Editions), editions included in Ubisoft+ may not include all premium content. Please check each game page on the Ubisoft Store for more information on the availability of premium content in Ubisoft+. Offer subject to change”. Though we also await news of the Xbox release of Ubisoft+. Whether that includes new upcoming titles such as The Crew Motorfest or Skull and Bones we don’t know. However, it has been reported the service is due on Xbox soon and an opening selection of games has leaked.
The Ubisoft+ Service And When It Could Be Launching On Microsoft’s Console
Ubisoft has said nothing about the inclusion of the service on Xbox for a good period. Rumors have come and gone. However, some even felt it was coming to Game Pass. Last year they even said they were willing to consider a takeover, which could bring the Game Pass. This is a situation that wouldn’t appear likely at this moment in time. Though when checking information for another article I stumbled on a possible leaked release window. The source leaked images of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage before its reveal. They go by the name of ScriptLeaksR6 and they also leaked news of pre-orders soon for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Now they leaked a release window for the Ubisoft service on Xbox.
With no source it’s hard to say how true this is. However, take the window lightly but it’s the closest we’ve seen to narrowing down when the service will arrive.
