Kicking 2026 off with a bang, LV1 Gaming had the opportunity to go to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in the well-lit Las Vegas, Nevada. We’ve seen everything from thin wireless televisions to boxing robots. Heck, Samsung even had a few famous K-pop stars make an appearance at their part of the show. What makes CES such a unique experience is the scale of the event. It is considered the most powerful tech event in the world, and rightfully so. Last year alone there were 4,800 companies present across the Las Vegas Convention Center, Aria, Westgate, Venetian, Mandalay Bay, and more hotels. This event is massive, but we were there to see the latest in gaming and gaming peripherals. So here are the top 5 gaming tech we saw at CES 2026.
#5 Kajima’s OPSODIS 1

We got the chance to experience the audio power of the OPSODIS 1 from Kajima Corporation at CES Unveiled. The event was intimate and exclusive to CES media attendees. Now imagine you are on a show floor with 100+ people talking, laughing, and eating. All of a sudden you stand a few feet away from a ~14-inch box, and with one button press you are transported audio-wise to a surround sound theater. Having crisp 3D sound from one object while on a show floor was a surreal experience.
The team showcasing the OPSODIS 1 used a movie intro to show the scale of the 3D audio. After having my mind blown by the sound quality, they then told me that it connects to a wide range of devices via Bluetooth, optical digital, USB-C, and even 3.5 mm analog. Meaning you can have a high-quality 3D audio experience with most gaming consoles and handheld devices without large audio equipment. Currently the OPSODIS 1 is expected to be available for $1200 in early February 2026.
#4 X5 Alteron From Hyperkin and GameSir
When two legendary brands come together to create one mobile controller, the only outcome is greatness. X5 Alteron is the upcoming modular mobile gaming controller from GameSir and Hyperkin. Not only does it clamp onto cellphones and tablets to give a controller gaming experience, but it also takes customization to a new level. Want to play GameCube games? Slot it in. Want to have a symmetrical thumbstick layout for a fighting game? Slot it in.
X5 Alteron will quickly become the easiest way to get all of your mobile gaming controller needs met. With a Bluetooth connection, you will be able to use this with most devices. It will fit various versions of the Nintendo Switch, tablets, and smartphones. The official price or release date has not been announced as of yet.
#3 bHaptics TactSuit Air: Camo

I have so much love for bHaptics because they make quality haptic feedback gear that fits bigger people. When I saw the booth on the CES show floor, I had to go check out what products they were showing off. They had a few stations set up with a shooting game and the TactSuit Air: Camo for each of them.
As a big person, being able to put on the TactSuit Air: Camo with no assistance or extension strap on the show floor was a phenomenal experience. Each weapon’s firing felt as if it provided unique feedback. The 16-motor haptic suit elevated the mouse and keyboard shooter to a new level of immersion. Haptic feedback has always been the next step of gaming immersion, and bHaptics is making sure it is available to more than the average-shaped gamer. Preorders for the TactSuit Air: Camo start January 22, 2026, and will cost $299.
#2 GameSir’s Swift Drive Controller
I spent the most time with this product at CES, and I’m not exaggerating. GameSir’s Swift Drive is the realistic steering wheel experience in a standard compact controller. GameSir developed the world’s smallest direct drive motor for this controller. The Swift Drive feels comfortable and natural to hold. You would think having a steering wheel in the middle of a controller would be awkward, but that is far from the case.
Immediately a huge smile was on my face while using the controller to drive a Jeep across various terrain. I have not actively played racing games since Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition. The Swift Drive made me want to go and buy every racing sim out there. The haptic feedback of the direct drive motor creates high-end racing sim immersion, but in the palm of your hands.
Not having any real “drive” (dad joke for the week) to purchase the full steering wheels and pedals because of the lack of space. Also, the idea of having to put away all the equipment once I’m no longer playing racing games kept me away from it. The Swift Drive addresses all of the issues I previously had with immersive racing game products. GameSir has not announced a price or release date at this point, but it will be on my Christmas list as soon as it goes live.
#1 ROG XREAL R1 Glasses

Republic of Gamers (ROG) has been firing on all cylinders, from the ROG gaming handhelds (ROG Ally Series) to the ROG desktops. At CES they had a whole room displaying the latest and upcoming ROG products. However, the XREAL R1 Glasses stood out immediately. First off, they look cool and not like you are equipping Robocop’s helmet. They are surprisingly comfortable to wear, especially for someone with a large head and a lot of hair (me…I am talking about me.)
Now on to why these glasses take the number one spot. ROG packed a lot of quality-of-life improvements into a pair of glasses. They provide a 171-inch, 240 Hz virtual screen for just about anything with a USB-C port. Want to take your cellphone scrolling to the big screen? Do you want to avoid hunching over for extended periods while gaming on a handheld device? The XREAL R1 glasses are for you. Another feather in the glasses’ cap is that they do not require software/apps to be utilized. The worry about battery life is unnecessary because they are powered by whatever device you plug them into.
The best feature of the glasses is the transition-style lens built into the anchor mode. So you press a button and lock the virtual screen in place, and once you look away from it, the lenses lighten to where you can see through them like normal glasses. I immediately thought about how these glasses could be used while interacting with family or guests without needing to reset the screen whenever you look away. At this point the price has not been released, but it is expected to be available for purchase this year.
