Top 5 Budget Switch Games This Week. (06.23.21)

As a collector of physical Switch cartridges, my principles forbid me to buy a digital download for more than $10, so every week I find five great budget Switch games in the Nintendo eShop discounted to $10 or less. (In no particular order.)

This week’s top five:

TowerFall $19.99 $3.99
TowerFall is a combat party game designed with couch co-op in mind. Simple mechanics are used across complex battlegrounds in versus modes and co-op modes with up to 6 players! Also worth noting is that TowerFall is developed by Matt Makes Games, the developer of one of my top-10 games of all time, Celeste.

Blossom Tales

Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King $14.99 $3.74 (Demo Available)
If you like The Legend of Zelda, you’ll love Blossom tales. It’s a classic top-down RPG that boasts 5 incredibly diverse dungeons in a giant landscape that takes over 15 hours to complete. Lots of unique puzzles and weapons keep the gameplay fresh the entire time.

Batman: The Telltale Series $14.99 $5.99
Containing all five episodes of the first season, this Telltale game is about the choices Bruce Wayne has to make to protect Gotham City. If you want even more Batman Telltale adventures, the sequel, The Enemy Within is also on sale right now!

NBA 2K21 $59.99 $4.79
I’m not much of a sports ball fan, but I have to notice when the flagship basketball game from 2K is over 90% off. With the NBA finals approaching, there might not be a better time to grab 2K21 and play with some friends!

The Gardens Between $19.99 $4.59
The Gardens Between is a single-player puzzle adventure about time travel and memories. Two friends traverse 3D islands filled with objects from their past. As you contact each object the two friends revisit their childhood memories and form a bond across time.

Honorable Mention:

Ori and the Will of the Wisps $29.99 $14.99
I didn’t think it was possible, but this sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest somehow manages to be even better than the first game. Beautiful animation, crisp controls, amazing skills and abilities that you unlock as you progress the story, and even more side-quests that don’t feel like a chore to complete. I can’t recommend this game enough, and when it’s 50% off I am compelled to put it on this list.

For more great deals, check out last week’s list as many of those games might still be on sale! I’ll be back next week with another list of five great budget Switch games in the Nintendo eShop discounted to $10 or less!
