We know The Witcher is going to be topical at present. We had the news the casting on the Netflix series is changing from Henry Cavill to Liam Hemsworth. I recently revisited the enhanced edition and on the whole, holds up incredibly well, but The Witcher remake will be much needed. This was a PC-only release and the console port was canceled. The Witcher Remake And What We Know

It’s a full remake from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5. However the original isn’t a true open-world title. So will the remake be more faithful to the original or follow The Witcher 3 in being a fully open world? An article from Gamespot links the Q3 2022 earnings report for CD Projekt Red. This says that the game is a “story-driven, single-player open-world RPG – A modern reimagining of 2007’s The Witcher.”. We don’t know how they will change the original setup. Personally, I am really looking forward to this remake.
