For fans of open-world survival games, that genre is getting a bit of a surprise from Nacon. As it was they announced a new upcoming title with just exactly that. However, it’s getting a nice sci-fi mix with an iconic franchise; as they reveal The Terminator Survival Project.

The Terminator has recently appeared on consoles and PC in Terminator Resistance. Last year, it was also updated for PlayStation 5. So we now have a game with a considerably bigger scope. In my perspective, it has the potential to be something remarkable. So, let’s take a quick look at what we have so far in terms of the reveal trailer.

We have a warehouse and a recognizable character who is hunting for someone. This is the legendary Cyberdyne Systems Model 101, also known as the T-800. This is the model played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in James Cameron’s 1984 blockbuster “The Terminator.” The game was labeled as such on the official website:

As revealed during Nacon Connect, we’re thrilled to announce that our next big project will be set in the world of Terminator, one of the world’s most popular and iconic film franchises.

The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic open world and features an original story that builds on the events of the official films. You play as a group of nuclear apocalypse survivors fighting to stay alive in a time period between Judgment Day and the creation of John Connor’s resistance.

We don’t know when or on what systems this will be released. However, a PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S release would not be out of the question. Personally, I’m looking forward to hearing more about it. What are your thoughts on this next title, though?
