The Outer Worlds is an Obsidian RPG that was well received at launch. I even played it at launch back in 2019 via Game Pass. Since then we’ve seen a new console generation arrive which meant naturally that Obsidian would need to update the game. After all, it wouldn’t be the first game to get an Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5 upgrade. We also have the Fallout franchise that Obsidian contributed many years ago getting an upgrade. That game getting the update is Fallout 4. Obsidian’s RPG update has not only been announced, but it is also currently available.
Sadly the upgrade known as The Outer Worlds Spacers Choice Edition hasn’t gone down well with fans. If you have the base game or played it via Game Pass you have no choice but to buy the new edition. We then heard that the developers had to apologize for the poor launch, the performance issues, and the lack of free upgrades. According to Push Square, PlayStation 5 owners have had enough.
What’s Wrong With The Upgraded Outer Worlds
On the PlayStation 5, fans are asking for refunds and have basically had enough. It seems they are unhappy enough to ask for a refund. Though if you’re curious about what the players feel then here are some examples:
It appears like gamers may be waiting a while to pick this up. Have you purchased this upgrade? If so, we’d really like to know what you think about this mess. Are things truly as horrible as we’ve been hearing? For some gamers, it seems unless this is resolved quickly, fans won’t have much faith in the impending sequel. Should fans be worried if Fallout New Vegas is being remade? We are aware that the game was also created by Obsidian. Whether or not you have played, we always appreciate hearing what you have to say. I haven’t yet downloaded the update. Owing to the fact that I was not willing to shell out the full price, I was hoping for a really fantastic deal.
