The Mandalorian Might Be Getting A Video Game

The Mandalorian

About a year ago, I posed a question. Should the world of The Mandalorian be made into a video game? After all, Respawn has done an excellent job with post-Episode 3 video games. These include Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor. DICE created the recent Battlefront games, while Ubisoft collaborated with Massive Entertainment on the upcoming Outlaws title. We recently saw them take on the Avatar franchise. Even Quantic Dream is developing a game for the franchise. This is the studio behind Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human. So, can we expect an answer to my prior question? Would a studio ever offer gamers the story of Din Djarin and Grogu? We now have some news thanks to an article from Insider Gaming.

The Mandalorian The Information For A Potential Game

Insider Gaming revealed in their article that Respawn is the studio working on the project, citing sources. However, unlike the Jedi franchise, it will be a first-person experience and is still in the early phases of production. According to the publication, we will “take control of a Mandalorian bounty hunter” and the plot will take place while “the Galactic Empire is dominating across the galaxy”. It is often referred to as a linear experience. It has also been revealed that the game will give players access to the renowned jet pack. This will enable players to “perform horizontal dashing, vertical jumping, boost sliding, and more”. It is uncertain where it will take place within the series. It is also unknown when it will be released and on what platforms. Hopefully, we’ll hear more about this potential game soon.
