The Last of Us HBO season 1 has just finished. We’re also in just under a fortnight to get the PC port of The Last of Us Part 1. The franchise sees its tenth anniversary coming this year. The original game launched on June 2013 and we saw the remaster a year later for PlayStation 4. However what is going on with the Last of Us multiplayer project? Since we brought to you news of the studio celebrating the game’s tenth anniversary, we’ve heard nothing.

Then PlayStation Universe has an article focusing on the news of The Last of Us multiplayer project. Neil Druckmann according to the article has promised fans they would hear more on the multiplayer title later this year. So with June being the anniversary, that could be a good time to announce the news on the project. This came about when speaking on a podcast for the HBO series.

What Neil Druckmann Said About Their Upcoming The Last Of Us Multiplayer Project.

It seems like it’s coming along nicely but he isn’t directly involved with the development. This is what Neil Druckmann said.

It’s an interesting experience for me because it’s the first Last of Us game where I’m not the primary writer, I’m not the primary director. What the team has put together is so cool. It’s very different from what I would do but that’s part of the exciting thing about it, with other people playing in this world.

If you want to see the spoiler cast then check out the video here. We do know now it’s the next main release. However, what Naughty Dog does next we don’t have any clue. It could be what the fans want which is a third game in the series but he said nothing other than he knows fans want a third game.
