If the announcement of a next-gen horror upgrade for the recent Resident Evil games wasn’t enough for you, we may have some more good news for you. Switch users received a recreation of one of the iconic horror shooters from the 1990s. And it is the eponymous The House of the Dead.
This was first introduced in 1996. It recently celebrated its 25th anniversary.
Last week Nintendo Switch owners finally got to play The House of the Dead Remake. And it appears the Switch exclusive isn’t going to stay a Switch exclusive for much longer. However, this may not come as a complete shock to some. As it was reported before launch, which you can see in the tweet below.
Where to next?
Firstly, the game has appeared on the PlayStation Network servers. This was spotted and then posted on Reddit about the game potentially being PlayStation bound. As well as on the way to Xbox, as one user posted a bunch of photos of a pre-order listing on Twitter.
According to this report, it might arrive this month. For the Xbox versions, a release date of April 27th is listed. Assuming the PlayStation remake is also in the works, it’s a safe guess that it’ll be released on the same day. What are your opinions on this news, though? Did you get it for your Switch?
If so, what are your thoughts on the remake? Would you like to see it on Xbox or PlayStation?
We’d love to hear from you guys, as usual.
