The First Descendant Hotfix 1.1.2

The First Descendant Hotfix 1.1.2 has arrived, bringing significant improvements and bug fixes to enhance the gaming experience across Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, and PS5 platforms. This update capitalizes on the most recent 1.1.0 & 1.1.1 hotfix which was much needed. Released on September 12, 2024, this update addresses various player concerns and introduces exciting new features.

The First Descendant Hotfix 1.1.2

One of the most notable changes in this hotfix is the removal of certain Dungeon Penalties from the Invasion mode. Players will no longer face increased bullet costs for different weapon types or penalties for using essential combat maneuvers like rolling or using the grappling hook. This adjustment aims to create a more balanced and enjoyable gameplay experience.

The update also brings positive changes to the Intercept Battles, with HP and MP Orbs now providing more significant recovery. HP Orbs will restore 25% of Max HP (up from 20%), while MP Orbs will recover 16% of Max MP (increased from 13%). These enhancements should give players a better chance of survival during intense battles.

Difficulty Adjustments

Responding to player feedback, the developers have lowered the difficulty of several boss encounters. The Normal and Hard modes of “Dead Bride” have been tweaked, reducing the frequency of teleportation during the Frenzied state and decreasing the damage output of certain attacks. Similarly, the Normal mode of “Hanged Man” has undergone significant adjustments, including reduced Part HP for the Charger and decreased damage from various attacks.

Other missions have also seen difficulty reductions, such as the “Deception Transmitter (Defense)” mission at “Sterile Land: Rockfall” and changes to spawn rates and collection requirements in other areas.

Gameplay Mechanics and Controls

The hotfix introduces several quality-of-life improvements, including faster monster spawns in certain missions and the ability to activate the ESC menu during the DBNO (Down But Not Out) state.

A major focus of this update is the refinement of Aim Assist settings for controllers. The default value has been lowered from 80 to 50, and various adjustments have been made to improve targeting precision and responsiveness. These changes aim to provide a better balance between assistance for new players and more precise control for experienced gamers.

Battle Pass and Rewards

In response to community feedback, the developers have added a 13th page to the Season 1 Battle Pass, introducing “Crystallization Catalysts” and “Energy Activators” as additional rewards. This change applies retroactively, allowing players who have already reached Season Level 96 to claim these new rewards.

Ultimate Weapon Enhancements

Several Ultimate Weapons have received significant improvements to their base performance and unique abilities. The “Wave of Light” scout rifle, “King’s Guard Lance” beam rifle, “Executor” shotgun, “Peace Maker” hand cannon, and “EXCAVA” assault rifle have all been upgraded with new or enhanced features to make them more effective and enjoyable to use.

UI/UX Improvements

The user interface has undergone several changes to improve navigation and item management. The “Filter all as junk” function has been replaced with a more nuanced “Bulk Exclude Junk Filter” system, allowing for more precise control over item sorting. Players can now also move more easily between Inventory and Map screens, and new hotkey options have been added for various menus.

Bug Fixes

The hotfix addresses numerous bugs, including issues with UI elements, skill effects, and mission completion. These fixes should result in a smoother, more stable gaming experience across all platforms.

Hotfix 1.1.2

The First Descendant Hotfix 1.1.2 demonstrates the developers’ commitment to improving the game based on player feedback. With significant adjustments to difficulty, gameplay mechanics, and quality-of-life features, this update promises to enhance the overall gaming experience for both new and veteran players alike.
