When we think of open-world racing, the first name on the list is undoubtedly Forza Horizon. It’s had its fifth installment. We also have Burnout Paradise which was recently remastered. There is one franchise that often gets forgotten about and it has two games in its series and that is The Crew.
It may not be their most loved franchise but like many other titles they release, Ubisoft does provide a lot of support post-launch. One such title getting support and updates is The Crew 2. It’s a big open-world US racer as the map encompasses the entire United States. Originally launching in May 2018 it seems it’s set to receive some hefty updates.
What Ubisoft Is bringing To The Crew 2
The Crew 2 is set to receive another year’s worth of content. This brings the racer into season 5. They plan to split this into episodic parts as they have in the past. Some content is free and some are paid. But that’s not all, The Crew 2 is being tested to run at 60fps on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Also, it seems this is coming soon July 2022.
They aren’t stopping there, for all system’s the game will get a visual upgrade. They are updating the game’s sandbox as well.
What this means is we will get improved lighting and visual effects as well as improved weather which has an impact on the world and cars. So will this tempt you to jump back into the game or is it a series you don’t have any interest in?
