In the summer of 2022, we unveiled the exciting prospect of a new Terminator survival game destined for PC and consoles. Since then, Nacon has remained tight-lipped about the project, though the franchise’s renowned and beloved status has kept anticipation alive. However, the recent Nacon Connect event shed light on numerous projects, including an update on this highly anticipated survival endeavor. Now, we finally have a name and enticing details to share about this game. Prepare to meet “Terminator: Survivors.”
“Terminator: Survivors” will grace the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X platforms. Developed by the talented team at Nacon Studio Milan, we unfortunately have no concrete release information for consoles yet, but a 2025 launch should not be ruled out. The reason for this optimism? The game is set to debut on Steam Early Access on October 24th. Remarkably, this open-world survival entry in the iconic franchise will launch just a couple of days shy of the 40th anniversary of the original film, marking a momentous occasion for fans worldwide.
What We Know About Terminator: Survivors
The game takes place just four years after tbe events of Judgment day. So we can play this game solo or co-op with up to three friends. According to the Steam listing, the description states
It’s been four years since the day humanity nearly perished. The truth of the event is still muddied in half-truths as you emerge from a shelter to attempt and reestablish some semblance of society in a world that seems hell-bent on eliminating you and the last vestiges of mankind. You are tasked with scouring the surrounding land for materials, information, other survivors and key resources in order to establish a base of operations for your fledgling group.
But you’re not alone. Skynet’s machines are hunting you. They don’t feel anything. They never stop. Ever. Until they completed their mission: eradication of all humanity. There is no gameplay to show you, just a trailer above. Hopefully, when we see a gameplay reveal we can get some news of the console releases. PC owners we also have no information regarding what the PC requirements are.
