It’s been almost two years since the release of the latest entry in the critically acclaimed Tales of series launched. Tales of Arise was released on September 9th 2021 and was met with wide praise. I even reviewed it and gave the game-wide praise. Nowhere did I think it would get any post-release DLC. However, during the PlayStation State of Play, came the announcement that a Tales of Arise expansion called Beyond the Dawn will be coming soon.
During the State of Play, there were many surprising announcements. However, none more so than the announcement of the new expansion for Tales of Arise called Beyond the Dawn. With an emotional trailer, it seems the DLC will take place 1 year after the ending of the game. Following the fragile peace between the Danans and Renans after the great conflict.
The setup shows our crew returning to find a young girl named Nozumi being hunted by citizens of Dana. It shows them going out of their way to find out the story of her and why she is being hunted.
Beyond the Dawn will be adding over 20 hours of new content to a game that already offers over 100 hours as it is. So to say this is a significant addition is an understatement. Along with the trailer they gave a date the expansion will be available. The Tales of Arise expansion will be launching on November 9th on Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and Steam.
