So, if you’ve subscribed to one of the higher tiers of PlayStation Plus, you may know a certain BlueTwelve game called Stray. If you’re unfamiliar with the game let’s look at the game description. You play as a stray cat who ends up lost and alone after being separated from its family. You end up in a long-forgotten city and to escape you need to solve that city’s ancient mystery. The description states the game “is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed, neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly”.

When Stray launched it arrived on PlayStation hardware and on PC. However, when I played the game through, it was on PlayStation 5. I thoroughly enjoyed the game and being a cat owner appreciate it would have been difficult to record good motion capture. The game was available to buy at launch and given away free in the top tiers of PlayStation Plus. These are the extra and premium tiers. Sadly it was not available for those who only subscribe to the essentials tier.

However The Chance Of Stray On Other Platforms – Could This Happen

Though we know it’s not a first-party game and was published by Annapurna. They published games such as What Remains of Edith Finch and Twelve Minutes for example. Twelve Minutes launched on Xbox as part of the Game Pass catalog. So could this feline adventure head to Xbox owners? Eurogamer is one site that picked up on a Tweet which shows an ESRB rating for Xbox platforms. Though since the news broke the rating seems to have been removed. With the games first anniversary coming in July maybe we’ll get some clarification soon. Especially with an Xbox Showcase coming very soon
