It was nearly a year ago that we last heard about the feline adventure by BlueTwelve. At the time was delayed until early 2022. However, from that July showcase from publisher Annapurna to the first quarter of 2022, we have heard little since.
For a quick refresher on what Stray is all about: It’s an adventure game where you play as a Cat and you’ve been stranded in a world bereft of humans looking to return to their family. If you like the sound of that premise, you may find this PlayStation Blog post by Swann Martin-Raget the studios producer interesting.
Stray. The Story So Far
The recent State of Play gave some reveals and updates for those social media hoping for a feline addition to the event. However, Annapurna put that to bed and conformed Stray wouldn’t be part of the event just prior.
But they reinforced it’s still coming this year, but not early this year it appears. With the pandemic affecting the Summer Olympics and many events as well, many titles were delayed.
Though it still seems on course to launch at some point in 2022. Hopefully, we don’t have too long to wait for an update. They did promise we’d see more this year so fingers crossed. As it stands it’s pouncing into life on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC sometime this year. Will this be one for you or will you side-stepping this adventure? It could be a game worth looking at and it most certainly is a unique approach to an adventure title.
