The Division 3 Confirmed to be in Development by Ubisoft Division 3: A Risky Proposition for Ubisoft’s Future My Hero Ultra Rumble – A New Battle Royale Game Based on My Hero Academia Phantom Blade: Executioners Brings Fast-Paced Dark Fantasy Action to PlayStation and PC This November Spider-Man 2 Release Update As Launch Draws Near

One of my favorite games from the last console generation was Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture. It was a PlayStation 4 console exclusive and later on PC. Developed by the English studio The Chinese Room which is now part of Sumo Digital. We now have news on their new game which is a much darker approach to games like Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture and Dear Esther return to a horror vibe with Still Wakes The Deep which made its debut at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase today. For those curious on seeing more, the official game trailer can be seen below.

The official website mentions it’s their return to narrative horror. For those who remember they developed Amnesia: Machine For Pigs a decade ago. This was just prior to the launch of last gen hardware. The website tells us the game is set in December 1975. The setting is on the Beira D oil rig which is situated off the coast of Scotland. The description tells us we have to “navigate the collapsing rig to save your crew from an otherworldly horror on the edge of all logic and reality”. Eurogamer states that in Still Wakes the Deep, “all communications with the outside world have been severed, all the exits are gone, and, worse, there’s some unspeakable otherworldly horror onboard”.

Still Wakes the Deep – The Release Details

The trailer states that it coming early next year which is a vague release window. It also states coming to game pass and Xbox Series X/S. So that confirms an Xbox release at some point in 2024. Even though the trailer says Xbox, we have confirmation in the trailer from the developer of a PlayStation release. As to if the game has a simultaneous console platform release we are yet to hear for sure.
