During the initial launch of the PlayStation 5, Spider-Man made a comeback. However, this was alluded to by Miles Morales taking the lead late in the first game. As a result, a standalone game called Spider-Man: Miles Morales was given to us. The original game was rebuilt to match the PlayStation 5 sequel expansion’s features, and it was a great showcase for the new Sony technology.
The original game, which debuted back in August, is now also accessible on PC. It only seemed a matter of time before PC gamers had the chance to learn more about Miles’s journey as he swings into the action after Peter’s tale with Spider-Man on PC.
Insomniac announced the news on Twitter and in a post on the PlayStation blog gives more information on the upcoming PC release which is being handled by Nixxes Software who were added to the PlayStation family in the Summer of last year. This is what the blog says about what’s to come in the PC release on 18th November.
The game features options for ray-traced reflections with a variety of quality levels and newly added ray-traced shadows for outdoor light cast by the sun and the moon. This enables realistic shadows with natural gradients in softness and further enhances the visual fidelity of Marvel’s New York.
The game is fully optimized for ultra-wide gaming and supports ultra-wide aspect ratios of 21:9, 32:9 and even 48:9 when using triple monitor setups. Similar to what our team did for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, the cinematics in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PC are adapted to be fully viewable in aspect ratios up to 32:9.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales supports the latest performance enhancing upscaling technologies, like NVIDIA DLSS 3. This technology for GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs combines DLSS Super Resolution, DLSS Frame Generation, and NVIDIA Reflex to boost your frame rate to new heights. NVIDIA DLSS 2, NVIDIA DLAA, and NVIDIA Reflex will also be supported.
The game is available to preorder via Steam and the Epic Games Store for $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99. Preordering the game will allow you to get the following bonuses
- Two-suit pack, including the T.R.A.C.K. Suit, and Into the Spider-Verse Suit
- Early access to the Gravity Well gadget
- Three Skill Points to unlock some abilities from the start of the game
Will this be a game you’re going to grab next month? As always we’d love to hear from you.
