Strange Scaffold is the team known for creating obscure and fun games across various genres, including I Am Your Beast and El Paso Elsewhere. They are soon releasing a game where you can trade space babies on the open market. Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator is part of a multi-title partnership between Strange Scaffold and Xbox.
“Xbox has supported my creative voice, and Strange Scaffold’s systematic approach towards sustainability in video games, from the very beginning… Continuing a 7-game partnership to ensure players on Xbox receive Strange Scaffold games consistently and in style is something I’m both honored and excited to do.”
Studio Head Xalavier Nelson Jr
In Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator, you are a baby trader who trades on alien children’s digitally simulated lifespans. You will be chasing profits through an extremely volatile stock market. You think a baby’s existence will be miserable; maybe you will short it for a big payout. Alternatively, one baby is predicted to win the Galactic Lottery, allowing you to cash out on that simulated future for profit! Your intergalactic trading portfolio will be available on PC via Steam on January 29. The Xbox console version will be available at a later date.
Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator Features
- Seven distinct planets to trade procedurally generated alien baby stocks on, each showcasing unique ideas of what it means to be profitable and productive to society.
- Consultants you can hire before the trading day to gain information on your trading targets.
- An anthology of mini-campaigns following the lives and complications of baby traders across the universe.
- A loan shark that won’t let you pay him back, because he’s then legally allowed to shoot you.
- A pulsing electro-industrial soundtrack by Kris Kirk.
- The ability to short a baby, because you believe its life will suck.
