SoulQuest is an up-and-coming 2D hack-and-slash platforming game developed by Soulblade Studio LLC. SoulQuest proudly wears its gameplay inspirations from the Bayonetta, and Devil May Cry series. The game mixes Celtic lore and Arthurian legends into a cool new side-scrolling pixel art title. With only three days into its Kickstarter campaign, it has already crossed the halfway mark. Details on What to Expect with SoulQuest
If you are interested in what SoulQuest has to offer in terms of its story. It starts with a simple invasion of demonic hordes that overpower the village of Cetonia and its guardian Gwydre. From here, Gwydre’s wife, Alys, who is the main character of the story takes the advice of a mysterious druid named Abanus to hunt down the Goddess of Death to save her husband’s soul and bring him back to life.
SoulQuest is slated to launch in February of 2026, and you can support its Kickstarter for as little as $20 USD. There are higher tiers you can support, that will give beta access when it is available. As well as some other unique rewards. Such as the ability to work with one of the artists. Allowing backers to create a custom-made skin for Arys’s pet to match your pets in real life. The game will be available on Steam and Nintendo Switch when it launches.
