Sonic Wings Reunion is officially coming west, and it’s set to launch on October 7th. We now have more details to share about the release. Red Art Games will be handling the European physical editions for both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, with limited edition versions also planned.
The game, the latest entry in the classic Aero Fighters series, will also be available digitally in North America and Europe. It’s scheduled to release exclusively on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
Sonic Wings Reunion will also be available at launch as a Standard and Collector’s edition, which will be made available at various retailers. Though it is the Deluxe Edition we mentioned above, this will be exclusive to the Red Arts official store, which also contains the other versions of the game. For many the game may not be familiar, in which case here’s a brief description to explain the premise of the game.
In the year 20XX, cities all over the world are under attack. The mysterious organization “Fata Morgana” has returned, possessing superweapons and using unknown technology to seize control of the world’s military weapons.
The knights of the sky, the international secret rescue team “Project Blue“, rise up to fight this threat to the world. What awaits them as they take on these new and powerful enemies…?
Latest episode in the longrunning Sonic Wings franchise (known as Aero Fighters in the West), Sonic Wings Reunion is the result of the collaboration between SUCCESS, HAMSTER Corporation and members of past Sonic Wings games’ development teams. Produced by Shinya Nagatomo (Cotton Rock’n’Roll), Sonic Wings Reunion features character designs by Fumihiko Nantoka (Sonic Wings series) and sound design by Soshi Hosoi (Sonic Wings series).
