Metal Gear Solid 3 is a popular title and a key title in the franchise. It may be the third game but it’s the first on the timeline. It’s also one heavily rumored to be getting remade. The latest rumor about the return of Snake was last month. However, these rumors were revived this weekend thanks to Nick Baker on the XboxEra podcast. This time the rumor is combined with rumors regarding other Konami titles. So as well as a possible return of Snake, the news involves Silent Hill 2 and Castlevania.
The only connection between Metal Gear Solid 3 with the other two franchises is they belong to Konami. One of these we know is a year-long PlayStation 5 console exclusive. We know the title in question is the remake of Silent Hill 2 by Bloober Team. The other connection between these titles is the platform they will launch on. It seems that alongside Silent Hill 2, a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 and a new Castlevania will be PlayStation 5 exclusive.
The Chance A Return Of Snake Is a PlayStation Exclusive
Well on Twitter, Idle Sloth picked up on the news stating the sources of the news weren’t 100% sure so maybe we should take this news lightly.
We did have a claim about State of Play events this Summer period by Jeff Grubb. Soon after we got the VR-focused event. With Microsoft doing their own in a few weeks and with Sony having more to show with Final Fantasy 16 we can’t rule out a PlayStation event that could feature these three games. Even Jez Corden has heard stories regarding Metal Gear Solid 3 alongside Castlevania and Silent Hill
All of this is still unconfirmed and take it lightly. So we will most definitely have to wait and see. We saw similar rumors prior to the news of Resident Evil 4 and Silent Hill 2 and we know Konami wants to revisit established franchises.
