Thanks to the recent Silent Hill Transmission we are now aware of multiple upcoming projects in the franchise. One is a film that is a sequel to the 2006 original. The plot for this follows the story of the popular Silent Hill 2. That game was also a part of the showcase as we saw the event opened with the trailer of the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake which is being developed by Bloober Team. They recently gave us The Blair Witch Project and The Medium.

The game has also made the news for different reasons recently. This is down to an American translator by the name of Jeremy Blaustein. He primarily translated the games’ Japanese language into English. Jeremy Blaustein has been involved with a few Konami titles such as Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Metal Gear Solid. He also worked on the second Silent Hill game.

Why Jeremy Blaustein Put Silent Hill 2 In The News

Eurogamer covered the story where he wants Konami to actually credit his work. It seems he did the full translation for the original game back in 2001 and just wants credit. He isn’t after or expecting any compensation but he states that he feels strongly that being given the appropriate credit is the “right thing to do”. He also in a statement to GamesRadar+ stated more on this. He even took to Twitter over this.

It seems he did more than translate the Japanese dialogue and directed the voice actors. However, as yet we’ve had no official statement from Konami. As always what is your take on this news? Why not get in touch and share your thoughts?
