We previously wrote about important developments happening at Bethesda, particularly with Tango Gameworks. Shinji Mikami created the studio in 2010, and a few months later ZeniMax bought it. The studio is most recognized for its work on games like Hi-Fi Rush, Ghostwire Tokyo, and The Evil Within series. Mikami, a former Capcom employee and the man responsible for Resident Evil, has lately been in the news as the important person leaving the business. His departure will surely be a big loss for Tango Gameworks because he is a very powerful person in the gaming business. This was all the information that was known at the time Bethesda made its original statement.
What Shinji Mikami Has To Say
He took the time to say thanks to the fans. The translation reads as
“Thank you to all who have supported Tango so far. I am leaving Tango, but the young people have grown up well. Please continue to support the games that Tango releases in the future. It’s honestly nice to hear everyone say thank you. Thank you, everyone”.
Shinji Mikami
We have yet to hear what he plans to do next the world is his to tackle. With such a storied and long-lasting career he has so many options ahead of him. I know we are excited to see what he does in however, it seems he feels the legacy he left at Tango is in safe hands.
