Anticipated Games – What I’m Looking Forward To 11 Resident Evil games starting at $1 for Humble Bundle’s ‘Decades of Horror’ Mars Trip Delayed As Deliver Us Mars Now Arrives In February Modern Warfare 2 Beta And Campaign News Xbox & PC Game Stormrite Interview With Kelechi Apakama

A few months ago we told you about the next game from the developer Frogwares about Sherlock Holmes.  Sherlock Holmes Chapter One has since launched on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. So for fans of the famous detectives can get to play the Holmes story when he’s starting out as a young man and honing his craft.

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is a credible entry to the series and the new open-world environment really enhanced and improved the game. I personally found it an enjoyable experience. However, not everyone got to play the game at launch. The last-gen versions were delayed back in September. But this delay was expected to be only a few weeks. This decision was arrived at after intensive testing and discussions. However nearly a month after the game’s launch, we had no updates until today.

The Holmes story for last gen. The state of play

That few-week delay has changed according to a recent update from the developer. On Twitter, Frogwares posted that although they were making progress. So the last-gen versions are due early next year. Frogwares has this to say:

We had to make the tough decision and delay [these] versions back in October. And we are still 100% in support of this choice. We needed to take a bit more time to polish and test the game on older hardware to deliver appropriate performance. This is our top priority and we’re doing our best to make sure that the release is of proper quality and well-optimized. Thanks you very much for your understanding, patience, and continued support.

So it seems the origins of the world-famous detective will begin a little later than planned for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. What do you think of this news? Were you waiting for this or has this game passed you by. Either way, we’d love to hear your thoughts.
