Samurai Academy: Paws of Fury launched Thursday, November 20th, developed and published by Maximum Entertainment, in partnership with Zerolife Games and Fishing Cactus. Samurai Academy: Paws of Fury is a new adventure game that follows Hand, the fearless hero of the stor,y along with the complete cast of samurai cats from the movie.
Samurai Academy: Paws of Fury is a follow-up to the 2022 movie Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank, starring Michael Cera, Samuel L Jackson, and other notable Hollywood stars. Paws of Fury takes place after the film; the village of Kakamucho faces a threat from the Shogun’s cat armies. With little rest, Hank and Jimbo jump back into action to defend the village and take down the Shogun once and for all.
Samurai Academy is truly a collaborative effort between three studios. Maximum Entertainment is a global company with a wide range of games using original and licensed content. Maximum Entertainment has a staggering 300 titles under its name with no signs of slowing up. Their sub-publishing arm has contributed to games like Among Us, Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach, and a ton more. Zerolife Games is a small independent team that is spread across the globe, with Fishing Cactus being based out of Belgium.
Samurai Academy has players become true samurai by proving their skills with trials, developing mythical skills, and fighting with a wide variety of weapons and gadgets. Defend the temples of Kakamucho, Dookiehill, and Pippishore from Ninjas, Viking Warriors, and Jetpack Elites enemies. Hank and Jimbo aren’t going it alone; they can team up with other characters from Paws of Fury to help in bigger battles. Players will explore the vibrant world, which is filled with side quests to complete, new areas, items, and playable characters. Samurai Academy is made for players of all ages, with local split-screen co-op where up to two players can take on the campaign. Samurai Academy: Paws of Fury is out now on PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series for $19.99 until December 4. After it’ll be $24.99.
